If I search for Pete, confluence search returns the user Pete and content where the word "Pete" exists. However if I @mention "@Pete Smith" (who's username happens to be "psmith") I don't get that content back. The only way to get that content returned via search seems to be searching for "psmith".
This appears to be a bug as Conflunence should be able to return al content with the word Pete, the @mention of Pete, and anything else that matches Pete in the same results.
Let me know if you need clarification on the description of this issue with search and @mentions.
