Chromium Version 31.0.1650.63 Built on Ubuntu 12.10, running on LinuxMint 14 (31.0.1650.63-0ubuntu0.12.10.1~20131204.1)
Description
Expected: when I edit a blueprint template, I expect to be able to use the variables already defined in the blueprint and have them replaced by retrieved data in documents produced by the template.
Experienced: the variables are replaced by their storage markup escaped and appearing as text in the page.
Repro:
1. Space Tools -> Content Tools -> Templates
2. If Meeting Notes template of Meeting Notes Blueprint is edited, reset to default
3. Edit Meeting Notes template
4. Ctrl-END to get to the bottom of the doc
5. Press <ENTER> three times
6. type in:
Testing the documentOwner variable: $docu<ENTER>
7. UI completes variable name from the selection list
8. press ENTER again.
9. Click SAVE button.
10. Create a Meeting Notes page from the blueprint template
11. you'll see that the storage markup was escaped in the template and so it appears in the page now instead of showing the name of the doccumentOwner as you see above.
I've included screenshots of the template editor showing the variable appearing like any other and of the document produced by the template, in which you can see the markup instead of the contents of the markup, and the storage format of the page in which you can escaped markup.
