Instead of being inserted where the cursor currently is, content is put at the top of the page.
Reproduced for:
- Tables
- Images
- Emoticons
- Status
If you do things inline (e.g. put a status macro in with autocomplete rather than from the insert menu, it works.)

Tested this on Confluence 5.3.4 using IE 11.0.9600.18015 (Update Versions: 11.0.23) and failing to reproduce this. Hence assuming it got introduced in 5.4 as suggested in
CONF-31615.
