Description
When creating a bullet, numbered, or task list after a line that is formatted with bold, italic, underline, color, or any of the more formatting options, the bullet is displayed and then the cursor goes to the subsequent line. It's not possible to place the cursor next to the bullet and enter text. If the page is saved, the stray bullet show in the editor is not displayed.
I think what is happening is that the editor creates invalid HTML by trying to put a formatting tag (such as<u> if an underline) around the list tags (<ul><li>...</li></ul>). For instance the editor tries to do <u><ul><li>...</li></ul></u>.
A way to handle this problem while editing is to click on the stray bullet and clear any formatting settings. Alternatively, you can avoid it by enter a blank space or some text before clicking the Bullet List button. However, users are not typically going to know intuitively how to get around this problem.
We consider this a major issue because of the frustration it causes most of our users.
