    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

Current behaviour: when content is imported from Word, all character combinations defined as emoticons are automatically rendered as such. That is not always the desired behaviour, and so users need to manually edit the imported content in order to escape the autoformatting. This can be a big nuisance, especially in case of longer documents.

Improvement: an option for bulk escaping automatic rendering for all character combinations recognized as emoticons.
