We've had requests from customers who want to rename the label of the Blueprint.

As an example, a lot of customers use the word "specifications" not "requirements" and want to change it.

If your going to comment on this issue, it would be great to hear examples.

[CONFSERVER-29447] Ability to rename or add labels which a Blueprint uses

It would be great to be able to select what label is added to a blueprint when creating a new page with it.

@adil nasri - Well that's good news. I'm surprised I missed that but thanks very much for pointing it out! And thanks for the Blueprint link!

@Jim: Actually, it is possible to assign labels to templates. See [here|https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/create-a-template-296093779.html?_ga=2.74596050.1575169517.1577040414-18577441.1568636910].

Blueprints are more powerful when it comes to applying dynamic labels (e.g. based on options users select) to pages. If you are interested in these capabilities you should check out the [Blueprint Creator|https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1218917/blueprint-creator-advanced-templates?hosting=server&tab=overview].

@adil nasri - Because I don't believe it's possible to automatically include a label when creating a new page using a template. As far as I can tell, that's only possible with a Blueprint.

@Jim: Why aren't you using a simple template for that?

I simply want to create a Blueprint template for my team's sprint planning notes and I want it to always have a particular label that is specific to my team so it can be recognized by a Content by Label macro (e.g. my team-meeting-notes).

I have exactly the same need as Asaf Ronen above.

In our company we are trying to use the "Snapshot JIRA Report Template" to generate internal release notes.  I simply need to be able to define a "releasenotes" label on the page template, so that I can define a "Release Notes Index" global page template that simply lists all pages in the space with label "releasenotes".  But although Confluence allows me to define this new label on the "Snapshot JIRA Report Template", it does not actually give that label to pages created from the template, do my index page is broken.

I found this because I was trying to figure out how to add an additional label to the delivered template/blueprint. I can understand having the default label for aggregation of page results across spaces, but would like to add an additional label some spaces. Seems easier to add/extend a label than clone it, but cloning would work.

If more of these used Page Properties / Page Property Report vs Content Report Table approach (Meeting Notes) then using the CQL would help as well, say to segment meeting notes into different categories in one space. I've had space owners adding this to the blueprint anyway to allow the resulting index page to be "better".

Not sure I've fully thought this through, but my two cents.

Our Add-on Page Tree Creator works a bit different than the Confluence blueprints / templates. The PTC-templates are based on normal confluence pages and therefore creating a PTC-template is as simple as creating a Confluence page. Of course you could start creating your PTC-blueprint based on an existing Confluence page.

Try our Live Examples (no registration needed) and they show how the labeling / indexing works.
