In my organization, we would like to benefit from the great features of Confluence and a knowledge management QA system like OSQA, but would not like to have the problem of separate information, lack of integration and dual administration. Basically we would love to do what you have done with OSQA.
The problem is that now these tools are not integrated. Few things we’re interested in:
- interactions that happen in OSQA are visible in Confluence’s notifications box
- labels in OSQA are the same as those in Confluence, allowing users to find related stuff and subscribe
- searchability from Confluence to both databases
- merged profiles
- merged activity streams

As Patrick and Jorge have mentioned, we have just launched Confluence Questions, and naturally it's tightly integrated with Confluence.
For those keen to check out the Beta, you can get it to today at https://www.atlassian.com/questions. Look forward to getting your feedback!
