    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

When sharing a page, Confluence will use the email address configured in mailserver-settings. Whenever a user answers to this email, he'll reach no one. Confluence should insert the sharing user's email address as REPLY-TO address.

            Hi John,

i must apologize - you are right. The problem wa, that our (Non-Jira) Ticketing-System could not handle the reply-to accordingly. From what version was the behaviour like that? I'd like to post this in https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/52785/how-to-use-confluence-share-button-to-send-e-mail-with-sender-s-reply-to-email?page=1#105799 .

            Best wishes

            Matin

Hi Matin, I can only open your attachment in plain text, but it looks like that's a comment notification, not a page Share?

As we discussed in CONF-10543, if you use the Share button to share a page, the from and reply-to will be set as yourself.

Comments (like this appears to be) will send from a Confluence address. That request was raised in CONF-24971 and closed as a won't fix. As I mentioned there we would prefer not to do as it would block CONF-5002 which is the preferable behaviour we'd consider for the long term.

Can you check the email again and confirm it wasn't a comment? If it was a Share there might be a configuration problem that we can get support to help you with.
