Space List Macro Category Picker is not Usable

      Summary of The Bug

      In the "Category" section of space list macro, the "Category" picker does not change the list of spaces being generated

      How to Reproduce

      1. Categorize multiple Spaces
      2. Add "Space List" macro inside a page
      3. Choose the "Category" Tab on the macro
      4. Pick any category from the "Category" picker - this will show the correct spaces
      5. Change the category to a different one. The spaces listed do not change
      6. Press refresh - the list of spaces and the category both go back to the first category selected.

      Workaround

      Replace confluence.dashboard.macros-4.3.x.jar in atlassian-bundled-plugins.zip which located in <<Confluence_Install_Dir>/confluence/WEB-INF/classes/com/atlassian/confluence/setup/ with confluence.dashboard.macros-4.2.x.jar that can be found under the same filename from Confluence 4.2.x installation directory.

      Detailed steps:

      1. Access <<Confluence_Install_Dir>/confluence/WEB-INF/classes/com/atlassian/confluence/setup/atlassian-bundled-plugins.zip from Confluence 4.2.x installation directory
      2. Extract only confluence.dashboard.macros-4.2.x.jar
      3. Open <<Confluence_4.3.x_Install_Dir>/confluence/WEB-INF/classes/com/atlassian/confluence/setup/atlassian-bundled-plugins.zip using WinRar and create a backup of it
      4. Delete confluence.dashboard.macros-4.3.x.jar inside the file
      5. Update it by adding confluence.dashboard.macros-4.2.x.jar
      6. Restart Confluence

            I was not able to reproduce this on Confluence 5.8. Closing as obsolete.

            Behaviour on OnDemand: upon selecting a Category, the page is rendered blank. Refreshing doesn't change anything, user needs to go back to see the original page.
