            Hi There

Thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. As you are probably aware this has been on our backlog now for some time with no resolution and very little movement. Because of this I'm going to close this issue as won't fix, I believe that this better reflects the status of this issue.

If the problem is raised again in the future we'll readdress it.

            Regards

This problem was also observed for edits to the link target URL. It occurs in frequencies that span this set: always on Win-XP, once for a user on Win-7, always for a different user on Win-7.

Further note that the link target does not change even if you save the page after one edit operation. Re-editing the link without saving just demonstrates that this problem is going to happen when the page is saved, it seems.

Users are forced to work around this by deleting the link and inserting it again.

I made a movie here: http://screencast.com/t/CbllwcLF demonstrating the problem.

Why isn't this a high priority? As far as I can tell, IE8 is a supported browser! This is a major issue for some users!
