Thank you for the great feature!

            Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your feedback and patience with this feature suggestion. We're pleased to announce that we've recently implemented this and this will be shipping in our upcoming Confluence 5.8 release (for Server customers) and will be rolling out gradually for our Cloud customers.

Within the table toolbar there is a new table settings menu. When you're in a table you can use this menu to enable automatic row numbering. This will add an additional column with the row reference number which is maintained when you cut/copy/paste table rows etc..

For those of you using the Requirements Blueprint, we've also updated the default template to include this feature automatically to make referencing requirements hopefully that little easier for you all!

Confluence 5.8 is expected to ship within the next couple of months (but we're all hoping a little sooner for you all). Cloud customers should expect this within the next month.

            Cheers,
            The Confluence Team

This feature is also available in Table Filter v2.3.0.

@Phillip - You can use content report table macro to get list of pages related to specific product (set of requirements). You just need to use a unique label applied to each page that should then be pulled using this macro.

We are thinking about using confluence as a basic requirements management tool.

To make the individual requirements easily accessible and linkable there must be a page for every requirement. But for many purposes a list of requirements on a page would be more conveninet.

To make this work automatic ids in a table would be helpful, to make them linkable anchors for the individual table rows should be created.

This appears to be a very basic functionality to me.
