Hi Shantakar, thanks, understand you want to be able to add more, but I was keen to know what the underlying use case is. What sort of comments go in there, or perhaps more important is what sort of documents.

What I'm trying to understand is more about why you're doing this and whether there is a better way we can solve the problem than just increasing this character limit, as it's not something that comes up when looking at how others use the attachment comments.

Hi John,

I am attaching the normal attachments (either an image or anything..)in a confluence page, and I am able to add comments till 255 characters.

Inorder to identify the attachment more specifically I want to add some more comment, which may increase more than 255 chars.

But confluence setup only allows characters till 255.. in comment field for attachment.

Is it possible to increase. Please advice me.
