Autoformat and certain autocomplete functions do not work when preceded by a parenthesis

    Description

      Steps to reproduce
      1. Type a "("
      2. Immediately follow the paranthesis (no spaces) with an attempt to autoformat, or use mentions e.g. (@joey)

      These will not render

      reproduced on Chrome and IE9
