Command+Shift+N in Chrome opens an Incognito window rather than inserting a numbered list item.
Control+Shift+N does the same thing on Windows

            [CONFSERVER-25026] Command+Shift+N in Chrome broken

This is some really lazy product management... just make it CTRL-SHIFT-L and move on.

            Hi Robert

Thanks for getting in touch. We have a lot of issues on our backlog, more than we are likely to be able to address in an acceptable timeline and as such we need to triage older issues that we are unlikely to be able to fix. Because this issue has bee on our backlog for over two years now, because it has had very little activity in that time and because there are no teams currently working on this particular feature it was decided to close this issue as "Won't fix" as it would be unlikely that this issue would be addressed in the near future.

If issues are raised again after being closed then we treat these as new issues.

I hope this helps to clarify our actions here.

            Regards

Why would you close this issue? It's problematic and needs to be corrected. CTRL+SHIFT+N is taken by Chrome already for Incognito mode.

            Hi John

Thanks for raising this issue. As this has been open for 2 years now with very little movement I'm going to close this issue as won't fix. I believe that this better reflects the status of this issue.

If the problem is reported again in the future we will re-address this.

            Regards

We should definitely remove the tooltip in Chrome as a first step since it's incorrect. Any shortcut seems like it will be harder to remember than typing "1." although it is useful for turning off a numbered list. Perhaps command-shift-# ?

OSX users can work around it by using control-shift-n for numbered list. Windows/Linux users have no such workaround.

Is this an important button to have a shortcut for? Should we just hide it in Chrome?
