All title formatting keyboard shortcuts like cmd + 1 are not functional in Safari 5.1.x because they interfere with the browser default shortcuts for bookmarks.
I wonder how this went by unnoticed since more than half of Atlassian is using Macs...

In Safari 15.1 you can't use the ⌘ + ⌃ workaround, as these are bound to actions such as opening the sidebar.
However, there is now an option in Preferences > General to disable using ⌘ + 0-9 to open tabs... but even with that, I can't get ⌘ + 1 to work... it just does nothing at all.
⌘ + 0, and ⌘ + 2 - 8 still work though
