Yellow background in Code Macro doesn't work in Editor 4.0

      In earlier versions of Confluence, when used markup to create a yellow box with black type the color background made it easy to see the black type.

      When inserted a sample code block in earlier versions of confluence in Richt text, this is the result:

      # test *code macro* editor 4.0 (confluence)
      {code: bgColor=#FFFFCE}
      home folder/etc/plugin/serverid stop

      But the sample code was converted to Confluence 4.0, and now it doesn't produce a yellow box. It produces a box with a yellow outline, but the background behind the text is white. The code block inserted in a panel is using the formatting of the panel.

            [CONFSERVER-24229] Yellow background in Code Macro doesn't work in Editor 4.0

            Hi There

            Thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. As you are no doubt aware this issue has been on our backlog for quite some time now with very little movement in that time. Rather than leave this issue here I'm going to close it out as won't fix. I believe that this better reflects the status of the issue.

            Regards

            It is important to allow the yellow background with the code macro. Yes, the yellow background works with the panel macro. But the code macro automatically uses monospace typeface. The combination of monospace type and yellow background makes text in the code macro very easy to read and type.

            My point is that it's not acceptable to say that the yellow background works with the panel macro. The panel macro doesn't do what I want.
