Description
Under certain circumstances the cursor is not visible to the user on the screen, although it would seem that it is in fact active inside the editor because pressing a key (eg: delete) acts on the content.
Examples given by user from Editor Feedback page:
Example 1
- Start with the Welcome to the Confluence Demonstration Space page and edit it.
- Click inside the Column macro, in the white space, above the first image, over the left end of the image.
What is selected? There is no insertion point. A macro edit popup appears at the bottom of the screen - Press Backspace - what is deleted?
- A space in front of the first image is deleted and an insertion point now appears in front of the first image. If this is correct then shouldn't an insertion point appeared before the image when the click happened?
Example 2
- Start with the Welcome to the Confluence Demonstration Space page and edit it.
- Click inside the Column macro, in the white space, above the first image, over the right end of the image.
What is selected? There is no insertion point. A macro edit popup appears at the bottom of the screen - Press Backspace - what is deleted?
- The first image is deleted. If this is correct then shouldn't an insertion point have appeared after the image when the click happened?
Example 3
- Start with the Welcome to the Confluence Demonstration Space page and edit it.
- Click and drag from inside the Column macro, in the white space, tight in the left top corner of the macro, down and to the right bottom to select the macros contents.
- Everything is selected as was hoped.
- Do the same thing, but this time start the click and drag in the white space above the first image.
- The first image is not selected?
