{code} macro does not render indentation/tabs

Pasting in code with indents (either with tabs or spaces) does not work - rendering the Code-Block Macro useless for displaying the code we want to show. This appears to be a more general problem with the editor as attempting to use the noformat macro results in the same stripping of white space.
