PDF/A support in PDF export

      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      PDF/A is a restricted version of PDF which omits features not suitable for long-term archiving ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PDF/A ).
      I would like this feature to comply with regulatory requirements (e.g. FDA) in the context of electronic format submissions and long-term retention periods.

            I'm really keen that this question is revisited. I would love to see a PDF/A export option in Confluence wikis. For those of us who are digital archivists and have to find ways of preserving the information that our institutions are creating using Confluence this would be a valuable addition to the export options.

            So you can see the background to my request have blogged about preservation of Confluence wiki pages here: http://digital-archiving.blogspot.co.uk/2017/03/how-can-we-preserve-our-wiki-pages.html. I also have a query about the Word export which doesn't create valid recognisable MS Word files but I will create a separate ticket for that.
