            Thank you for raising this issue. While we can see how this feature would be useful, we have no plans to implement it in the foreseeable future. In order to set expectations, we're closing this request now. Thanks again for your idea.

            Stumbled onto this issue via a google alert. I am InCommon Operations Manager, so maybe I can provide some context. We're bringing up an issue tracking system, and jira is our first choice, but jira does not support SAML V2.0 Web Browser SSO. Some in our group have tried to hack a plugin but every time we get something working, it breaks in a subsequent release. So we're losing interest in jira (I'm afraid) since federated access (via SAML) is a strong requirement.
