    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

Add support for tel: URI as described in RFC 3966.
This is used by iOS on the iPhone and also seems to be used by Microsoft Office Communicator.
      More info about the RFC:
      http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc3966.txt
Now a "tel:0123456789" will be rendered as a wiki link instead of a URL. This should be changed to the behaviour which is implemented for the mailto: (RFC 2368) URL handling.
When the URI is written like "tel://012345678" it seems to work, but not for all applications.

[CONFSERVER-21328] Add support for tel: URI as described in RFC 3966.

That feature would be most welcome, would be really sad if it remains unsupported.

Confluence will not support RFC/HTML standards?
            This is so stupid, sorry.

I could not agree more.  Super disappointing, seems like an easy ask.
