This applies to all Atlassian products. Confluence is the one that I need it in the most.
Right now, with Jira 4.1 and Confluence 3.2.1_01, here are the steps I have to take to add ONE Jira gadget to Confluence
      1. In Jira Dashboard, click Add Gadget
      2. In Jira, find the gadget in the Gadget Directory
      3. In Jira, copy the Gadget URL
      4. In Confluence, paste the Gadget URL into the Add a new Gadget box
      5. Click Add

And then repeat 46 more times for every Jira Gadget we have.

      Ugh.

It seems like all that an admin should have to do is tell Confluence where Jira (or FishEye, Bamboo, etc.) is and Confluence should be able to figure out what Gadgets are available and prompt the admin with the list with check boxes and an OK button.

Ok, thanks for letting me know, Sherif.
            I can't see https://studio.atlassian.com/browse/CGP-113.

I'm going through the pain of yet again registering external gadgets on a test confluence.
Is there some way to do this more quickly?
For testing could I push them into a database table somewhere?
Regularly copying and pasting 33 URL's into viewgadgetdirectory.action every time I set up a new development box is such a drag.

https://studio.atlassian.com/browse/CGP-113 is the relevant Gadgets issue that incorporates this change.
We would like to do this sometime in the near future.

and, every time I set up a new combination of development servers I have to repeat this process.
