    Description

Drag and Drop currently uses Google gears which Google no longer supports.

In order to continue to support this feature we need to move to html 5.

      Status from Confluence PM

We are aware of Google's plans to discontinue Google Gears. Moving away from Google Gears to HTML 5 is in our short-term roadmap. We have taken steps to ensure the drag-drop capability still works in the latest browsers until then (eg Firefox 3.6 required some changes to ensure Gears works - we have implemented those in Confluence 3.2 (CONF-18774))
