      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      If not sharing the same authentication credentials with their web browser and email client, users cannot see the images in page notifications because the mail client is not logged into Confluence, thus it has no permission to download the attached images.

      It would be helpful if we could embed images in the emails as attachments, or we could make it so that emails used one-time tokens to refer to embedded images that could bypass regular system security.
