Description
Problem Definition
Jira and Confluence have a feature to export backup and require logged-in Supported browsers to download the backup via the generated link.
Therefore, to migrate from Cloud to Server products, an administrator needs to download the backup file once and then upload to the remote server to restore. It's preferred to be able to download the backup directly to the remote server because these backups tend to be large (like over 100 GB) generally.
Suggested Solution
- Provide an option to create shareable link can be easily downloaded by command line tools like wget, curl and aria2.
- Support backup objects on Restful API
- Integrate with Dropbox
Workaround
Use command line tools with valid cookie in request header. Note that this is not officially supported.
