Browser history on the `repos/<repo>/branches` is inconsistent.

    Description

      1. Load up a project with branches. I used a dataset with 20 branches named like "Branch #".
      2. Go to the branch view (i.e. /project/QA/repos/qa-resources/branches)
      3. Select 'Branch 20'
      4. Select 'Branch 19'
      5. Select Branch 18'
      6. Click Back in browser. You will end up on 'Branch 19' without a forward button
      7. Click back in browser. You end up on 'Branch 19' .
      8. Click back in browser. You end up on 'Branch 20' without forward button
      9. Click back in browser. You end up on 'Branch 20'
      10. Click back in browser. You end up on master in the URL and dropdown but the table is still displaying 'Branch 20' (some of the time) .
