This is due to a "broken image" icon being displayed for certain SVG files that have been pushed to the remote repo and have options, like width, explicitly set in the SVG XML.

Suggested Solution

A "toggle" between binary and "raw text" to provide the ability to display an SVG's raw file instead of binary in diff and source views.
