Smarter repository selection when creating a branch from JIRA

Details

    • We collect Bitbucket feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

    Description

Bitbucket doesn't keep track of any mapping between JIRA projects (or components) and in what repository (or repositories) corresponding branches get created. This should be made easier, smarter and less error-prone.

      Original description:
Specifically, what I would request would be the ability to add multiple "Create Branch" links, each of which defaults to a specific repository, and shows up as "Create <Repo Name> Branch". We would use this to have a "Create Code Branch" and "Create Content Branch" link that each default to creating a branch in the site or content repository, respectively.

We've had three or four cases (at least) of people creating branches in the wrong repository in the last two weeks. Then they get confused when they can't find the branch, because it was created in the wrong repository
