Meta tag "activeTab" not working anymore for user profiles in Stash 3.5.0

In one of my plugins, I'm adding a user profile tab as explained in the following tutorial: https://developer.atlassian.com/stash/docs/latest/tutorials-and-examples/decorating-the-user-profile.html

Since Stash 2.4.0 the "activeTab" meta tag (used to define the active navigation tab in the user profile) was working as expected, but in Stash 3.5.0 the tab is not highlighted anymore.

I'm aware of the template "stash.layout.users.profile" and would use it in my plugin, but unfortunately it requires the current user's personal project as $project parameter, which you can only retrieve by using the InternalProjectService => which is internal and not accessible by plugins.

Any help would be appreciated.
