Lists of branches/Tags not sorted

In a repository with a large number of branches the fact that the lists of branches/tags is not sorted makes it very difficult unless you know the full name you are looking for.
It would be nice if you could sort the lists by the various column headers Branch and Update and also to filter branches based on whether or not they are merged.
