      Atlassian status as of April 2019

      From Bitbucket Server 6.2 you can now choose to view all timestamps in absolute format (e.g.: 7 Apr 2019 2:00PM), instead of relative format (e.g.: 2 days ago). Head to your account settings to make the switch

      Please provide a way to disable relative dates, similar to the jira-config.properties entry:

       jira.lf.date.relativize = false

            [BSERV-4477] Disable relative dates

            vitoque.sub, this feature has been released for about a year now. If your instance of Bitbucket Server doesn't have the option under your account settings you might be on a version prior to 6.2 (scrolling down to the footer on the account settings page should tell you what version you're on).

            Any luck on this one?

            To make it more clear – its an individual setting, not a global setting.

            "account settings" is in one's profile (which explains why I couldn't find it in the global settings)

            Would it be possible to have an 24h option as well? In Europe we dont use AM/PM.

            Thanks for the update! Much more clear now.

            escott647830475 Both are technically correct, it is resolved in 6.2 and that didn't happen in the 12 months since Dec '16. But, contrary to Futurama's claims, we can do better than technically correct, so I've updated the description.

            The status indicates this is resolved in Bitbucket 6.2.0 yet the description still has a status update from December 2016 that says this won't be happening. Which is accurate?

            Thanks for landing this.

            Still feels wrong to see absolute timestamps be opt-in instead of opt-out though but I guess current situation is better than nothing 🤷‍♂️

            As noted in an earlier comment, this feature is now released. You can now update your preferences to see absolute timestamps only.

            Please please tell me you are going to back port this to 5.15.x - I will be doing an upgrade soon for a couple bug fixes, but I would wait for this!!
