As a Stash administrator, I would like to configure Stash to allow unauthenticated users to access Stash.

This would include the ability to choose which projects/repositories can be browsed or cloned by anonymous users.

[BSERV-2565] Support anonymous access in Stash

Funny thing is that this issue is not referenced in the release notes (although it is the main issue that is solved in the release notes).

I have downloaded and installed this release and it solves my issues and allows for anonymous access to the code.

            Thank you.

Any chance this will make it into the upcoming 2.5 release?

This features could be a pretty good extension as this allows teams to host repositories for their open source libraries on their own server along with closed-source projects.

@Skomialek - we've had a look at this ourselves, IP strapping is easily done when you place another server in front of Stash. We're using HaProxy for this: http://serverfault.com/questions/216461/how-to-block-ip-addresses-in-haproxy

In other words, it's more infrastructure.

One remark - it would be awesome if for example IP filter could be applied to it (use case : CI server checking out code - no authentication required). So being able to select which repositories don't require authentication + optionally which machines are allowed to do so.

My developers are also looking for this support for our CI cluster.
