      Atlassian status as of Feb 2022

      I'm happy to announce that in Bitbucket Data Center 7.20 we have shipped support of OAuth 2.0 provider. You can now allow external applications secure and reliable access to Bitbucket data.

      Problem

      It is inconvenient and in some cases insecure to use password-based authentication or HTTP tokens for integrations with Bitbucket Data Center
