Hi, I don't know if I'm at the right place for this but for quite some time now I've been having slow upload speed, currently under 10KiB/s writing objects. It makes push running for hours for relatively small size (20 MB)

Is this something I could fix on my end? My connection speed test return ~1 638.4 Kbps (204.8 KB/s)

Thanks for your help for making me like using Bitbucket.

      Mat

I am having a similar issue as well, specifically Git LFS seems to have problems.

Initially the upload goes very fast and then stops completely (using https from Germany)
Also it asks me to enter my password four times and then tries to upload the same 6 files four times?
            What's up with that?

Looks like an ipv6 issue. Here's a fix (although we shouldn't be forced to change our ssh config like this):

same here from Bangalore India. with 60Mbps speed, push gets stuck for several hours for just 10MB of data.
Earlier the process was stuck at "writing objects". After following the recommendation to set the http.postBuffer 524288000 the process is now stuck in POST git-receive-pack (8603532 bytes)

Very slow clone/pull/push from Germany. Ivan Tumanov workaround not helped to me.

Same here. This is slow even with the new Git LFS. I get speed 120KiB/s. This is insane. It makes no sense to use LFS at all.
My upload speed to other services like google is OK.
            Location: Europe.

When I look at git connected sockets then it shows IP address 104.192.139.43 which is in Atlassian in San Francisco.
Ping to that IP takes 170ms! Ping to google server in the same area is 4ms.
TraceRoute shows that the problem is caused by NTT America.
Com'on Atlassian, buy better connection if you want to keep European customers.

Is there really no chance of getting a server-side fix for this?
