build hangs on OutOfMemoryError

My build sometimes hangs on

Caused by: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded

I do need to fix that; but pipelines “thinks” it’s stil running, having builds in the 1hr+ range (102m 15s) and having to manually stop it
