Branch "behind" "ahead" animations stop working after two clicks

When on the branches page for a repo, each branch shows a visual for how many commits behind and ahead it is from master. I'm consistently seeing that these lines don't pop out when changing page or switching between active and merged views at least two times.

Repro:
View branches
Click merged tab
Click back to active tab
Lines will not show and subsequent tab or page navigations will not show the lines

Navigate to a different page within branches
Navigate to a different page again
Lines will not show and subsequent tab or page navigations will not show the lines

Small issue but requires refreshing the page to get the visual back.
