Color Icons depending on File Extension

All files basically look the same because all file icons are black in the repository.

How about creating colorful file icons depending on their file extension? E.g.:

All icons are SVGs and I'm currently using a userscript which does this for me. It makes it more pleasant to look at a list of files with different extensions.
