We need to trigger builds in several different OSes when someone makes a commit. It would be great if we could do this with one server installed and just some helper-app installed on the remote machines.

Not to be confused with distributed builds which is just a configuration of our build environment.

This should have been incorporated by Bamboo 2.0's distributed builds feature.

We're doing some Swing work, and this'd be really handy.

Even if this were distinct Master/Slave Bamboo instances rather than a helper app – as long as we could run the same build in multiple environments. This is particularly true across operating systems, but also true across different JDKs, etc (although that could presumably be handled by multiple plans with multiple builders).

There's probably a workaround somewhere wherein we can trigger a script that triggers a remote build na dcopies back the artifacts so that Bamboo can grab 'em, but it's not ideal.
