Description
When bamboo server first accesses an elastic instance it checks for the existence of
- elasticbamboo security group (to allow http and ssh access)
- elasticbamboo key pair
If not present the security group is created and the key pair is generated. The server then stores the elasticbamboo.pk file in bamboo-home/xml-data/configuration/elasticbamboo.pk. This copy is only available once after creation.
If another bamboo server is installed it will not have the bamboo-home/xml-data/configuration/elasticbamboo.pk file available.
Still, Bamboo assumes that this file is present in it's own home under bamboo-home/xml-data/configuration/elasticbamboo.pk to be used for the ssh command line in the admin/elastic/viewElasticInstance.action screen.
The existence of this file should be checked and a description should be displayed on how and where to get/generate this file if it is missing.
The file can be copied over from the bamboo instance that first registered with the AWS account or the existing key pair has to be deleted in the aws console
The next time bamboo boots up an instance in ec2 it will generate the key pair and store elasticbamboo,pk file in its home.
