    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

Cloning plans is great, but often you want to clone all the plans in a project for a different source point. For example, on bamboo.developer.atlassian.com, most projects have three plans: TRUNK, STABLE and PREVSTABLE. Each new project is typically identical, except that it points to a different SVN location.

It would be fantastic to have a 'clone project' option, which lets you:

      a) check the plans you want to include in the new clone
      b) specify a couple of typical modifications (ie, SVN/CVS repository)
      c) Clone!

            Atlassian Update – [12 April 2019]

            Hi everyone,

Thank you for your interest in this issue.

While this suggestion has gathered significant interest, we're unable to implement all of the excellent suggestions you make. We don't plan to work on this for the foreseeable future.
For all the configuration at scale issues we suggest using Bamboo Specs.

            Kind regards,
            Bamboo Team

As of Bamboo 3.0 there is the Bamboo Project Cloner. Together with bulk changes this should cater for a lot of use cases.

We also have roughly 20 plans per project and would benefit enormously from being able to clone an entire project. Copying plan by plan is tedious and time-consuming.

I also whole heartedly agree that being able to export to xml, modify the xml, and import back into bamboo would be fantastic.

This feature would be very, very helpful. I have 20 plans per project, I clone every plan one by one and have to step through all the wizard pages where I only have to change the repository url and Build target. It would also be nice to export all the plans in a project to a xml file, adapt the properties where needed in de xml and import the xml in a new project.

This feature is very important. We hava here ~20 plans per project, and it will be very efficient if we have this feature.

I could really, really, really use this feature. I have 17 plans per project I have to clone each time we branch for a release. It takes me most of a day to do just the Bamboo tasks because I have to do these one at a time.

I concur with this. We have projects setup with up to 10 plans per project all operating off of the same branch. It would be helpful to be able to clone the project and get 10 new plans that operate off of another branch.
