Currently, as I understand, Bamboo queues a build the moment a change is detected within the source repository. Several times tonight, I have attempted to commit a batch of several changes, and had the build launch right in the middle of my commits, so that yet another build was launched after the first build eventually completed. (I understand this might not be the subversion way of doing things, but I like to document (multiple) clusters of changes, which cannot be all committed atomically.)
I recommend you offer an additional feature when configuring the polling: boolean: "Wait until after first subsequent quiet poll before queuing build." In other words, when this feature is selected, once polling indicates there are changes, wait until after the first poll where there are no (more) changes, before queuing the next build.
