Documentation Update Request: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BAMBOO/Bamboo+upgrade+guide
Stop Bamboo
Stop Bamboo as usual.
If you have Bamboo running as a Windows service, you should uninstall this service, using the UninstallService.bat executable that came with your existing Bamboo instance.
We should point customers who are uninstalling the Windows service to https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BAMBOO/Running+Bamboo+as+a+Windows+service+as+the+local+user if they use a local user account. Some admins may not be the original admin and might be unaware that re-configuring the user account is necessary once reinstalling the Bamboo service as the default account may not have the proper permissions to preform key features of Bamboo.
