      Bamboo does not officially document the support of Maria DB, or indicate any support for this. As some major Linux distributions are moving to use MariaDB and the functionality is similar, it would be good to provide support for this Database version.

            Voting for this, same reasons stated previously as more distro's are moving to MariaDB inplace of MySQL.

            I've voted for this and will throw our 2 cents in for what its worth. We've been running Bamboo on MariaDB 5.5.40 since October 2014.

            What is the status of this, are Atlassian going to move forward on this. I know you have finally started to take notice of the impending need to move to Mariadb for Confluence CONF-29060. Bamboo needs to make the jump.
