Problem: when you create a branch for a release and deploy from it the list of commits can be incomplete.

Possible solution:
In similar vein that 'customised build' user could specify a range of commits that should be built.

The only functional difference to 'customised build' would be the generated list of commits which would include all commits from the range, which in turn would let them to be included in deployment release.
