Unable to create new release off deployment plan branch

I've created a video as it's a bit difficult to explain in details.

Steps

1. Create new version
   Note that the latest version off develop is 1.3.0-SNAPSHOT-53.
2. Switch plan branch to hotfix-1.2.1
   Note that no version was ever created from this branch but it shows: Last version 1.2.0-RC1.
3. Try to create new version 1.2.1
   Note that when clicking on the Create release button, it reloads but the release is not created and now it shows different version information than before
4. Switch back to develop plan branch
   Note that version information is incorrect. It should show version 1.3.0-SNAPSHOT-53

Additional notes

• Release version 1.2.0-RC1 was created manually off a plan branch which doesn't exist anymore (release-1.2.0)
• Release version 1.3.0-SNAPSHOT-53 was created automatically when a deployment is triggered through the After successful build plan trigger on the main plan branch (develop). It uses the following release versioning:

  ${bamboo.maven.version}-${bamboo.buildNumber}
