Description
Problem Description
If you have a deployment, before you deploy to your environment you need to create a release in Bamboo. In order to create release you need to create how the version of the release should be configured through Release Versioning. When you configure this, there will be a checkbox called Last number in version. By default, if you uncheck this option, the version number will not be incremented. This option is usually used if the version has variable that will be incremented automatically such as Build Number. If you uncheck this option and go with creating release the version number will still be incremented.
How to replicate
- Create a Deployment project.
- On Release Versioning make the configuration similar like the following.
- When you Create Release you will notice something wrong. If you configure like previous step, you will get something like the following.
- After you've done that, and you create the release, you will notice that the version will be incremented when it should not be.
