      Sure would be nice to be able to copy a task from another job/plan/stage while editing a bamboo job. We have separate builds for environments, and every time I make a change to one, I need to make the same change in five other plans. The auto complete is helpful but it would be really nice to be able to do a copy function quickly. Frequently when creating new builds I find that I need to add a new stage to segregate critical functions from less critical ones (supplemental reports are not as critical as the compiles for example). So moving a task from one stage to another would also be very useful.

            Atlassian Update – [12 April 2019]

            Hi everyone,

            Thank you for your interest in this issue.

            While this suggestion has gathered significant interest, we're unable to implement all of the excellent suggestions you make. We don't plan to work on this for the foreseeable future.
            For all the configuration at scale issues we suggest using Bamboo Specs.

            Kind regards,
            Bamboo Team

            @Dan +99 for that idea!

            Bamboo needs more sharing capabilities of all kinds of config objects in general!

            @Dan, +1, this would be fantastic.

            We have many "duplicate" plans (for reasons, probably not good ones though), and this would save tons of time.  Especially when the tasks are simple scripting tasks that just need minor updates, but still need to make these same changes across a dozen different plans.

            I think even better would be the ability to actually share the same task definitions across jobs so you don't have to go back and tweak all the copies when you need to change something.

            I was wondering if this or a comparable feature is available for this suggestion.

            Templates would be better, as in Jenkins, so that changing the template changes all plans immediately.

            is there any kind of ETA that Atlassian can confirm on when this could be available, currently its such a bummer without this functionality.

            So much manual process...I wonder isnt' Atlassian using Bamboo for their own builds how are they managing for so long without this functionality.
