Can't select blue print template in Jira automation

      Issue Summary

      Can't select blue print template on on Publish new page component in Jira automation

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create automation in Confluence
      2. Use Publish new page component and choose template

      Expected Results

      Ability to select blue print template (ex. meeting note)

      Actual Results

      There is no blue print template in template list

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available

            I would love to see a fix for this issue. It severely limits the usefulness of the confluence page automation.

            I agree with people posting before me. This is an automation feature that is not able to create a page, which is kind of the most basic function an automation feature in a documentation system should be able to do aka this makes it pretty useless for us.

            Ok, but can0t we force the automation to fill those values ?

            We could execute the rule on behalf of another user to get the main participants. And get the date as now() is not that complicated I guess...

            We are aware that if a template has a dynamically populated value (ie. the values change depending on the user, current date etc), it does not appear in the template picker. This is because we are not able to populate this value in automation at this point in time, so there would be blank spaces in the page created by automation. Thank you for raising this concern, we have this in our backlog to address and will definitely take your concerns into consideration.
