      Jira Automation is unable to support the editing of text in a defined field pre issue creation. In cloud migration analysis, this presents a feature gap between Jira Server + Scriptrunner behaviours and Jira Automation. Adding text to the description field is a common use case for this.

            Adding boiler plate text to the description field pre issue creation is something that we have used Scriptrunner to do in the past. Jira Automation rules are only able to be implemented post issue creation.
