Allow users to set notifications on slack based on JQL filters

      We use slack as our internal communication tool. We've set it up in a way that each slack channel is correspondent to a Jira Epic Issue. Though we've integrated slack with Jira through the native connector, we can only edit the notifications based on the issue type, priority and security level(when on). We'd like to set it up in a way that we could use a JQL to specifically show what's related to that channel/epic issue. I believe the benefits are great when you are able to customize it

            +1 Given that every way of working with jira requires tradeoffs you almost always end up with multiple teams in a project working closely but with separate concerns. Component level filtering would be a massive improvement prior to having more general JQL in my opinion

            +1 This would help us a LOT. I believe we all have to turn the notifications off or it becomes way too noisy. Would love if you could filter based on a particular epic and so on

            +1 this would be great. Right now sending all ticket updates to the same channel is pretty unwieldy. Some basic filtering would be incredibly useful for toning down all the noise.

            Almost two weeks until HipChat cloud goes away, and there's a massive disparity between the assumed default chat (Slack) and the one they're killing. Please improve this integration!

            We used JQL for Jira based HipChat notifications so please add this functionality for Slack. Thanks.

            Edmondo, just look for Jira Integration Plus on the Slack App Directory (or use this link if it works, https://slack.com/apps/A0Z9RG265-jiraintegration). It's pretty straight forward.

            This is critical functionality that would resolve a pain point for many teams in my organization. We simply need to be able to add a JQL expression to the configuration for each Slack/Jira integration.

            It's not free or first party, but for those that are desperate, check out JIRA Integration Plus. It's pretty cheap. It's what we're using until Atlassian gets their act together.

            Slack integration with Jira seems basic compared to HipChat were you can filter exactly what you need. so +1 get JQL Filter in place for Slack to.

            Come on, add this already, it's a must have!

            I though that moving from HipChat to Slack would be a good thing, but with things like that I want to go back...

            If there is a way to link with with Server Desk as well, that would be great?  We were using HipChat rooms for some of more enterprise level customers and using JQL to only notify those rooms if our customer created a ticket, etc.  We cannot do that with slack at the moment.  There is no way to filter Service Desk notification by customer, or any other identifier for that matter.  This is really putting us in a bad spot with our enterprise customers.

            Please add this feature please.

            Hawa, you can integrate the two, but you can't specify which issues send notifications to slack based on a JQL statement like you can with the HipChat integration. The current notification settings are a joke and give you almost no real control over which issues trigger notifications.

            Could you weigh in on this? Is there any chance this would be added? I would like to turn off almost all email notifications and use slack instead but this feature is blocking me.
